- Leash and collar and/or harness for small dogs (No retractable leashes). Sometimes cat collars are needed in the first several months. I use a 10-14 in. collar on my dogs and ¾ in. leash
- Toys
- Dog bed (may not want to give until potty trained unless it is easily washable)
- Safe chew toys (Nylabone flexichew for teething puppies is great). No rawhide.
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Natural treats for training and positive reinforcement.
